To achieve this great success at the end of the term, the following are guidelines that should be strictly adhered to👇
Important Dates:
-First Term Begins: 16th September, 2024
Welcome Exam:
All students will participate in a welcome exam on the first day of resumption, starting promptly by 7:20 AM. The exam will assess students’ readiness for the new academic session which is 100 marks. Please ensure that your Ward’s arrives on time and is well-prepared.
New Student Orientation:
We will be holding an orientation session for new students on 18th September 2024, from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. This session is designed to introduce new students to our school’s environment, culture, rules, and expectations, and provide an opportunity to meet their teachers and classmates. Attendance is mandatory for all new students and stale students.
Textbooks and Notebooks:
We are pleased to inform you that all required textbooks and notebooks for the academic session are available for purchase at the school. Parents are encouraged to acquire these materials promptly to ensure students are fully equipped for their studies.
HOMEWORK EXPECTATION
Home work is a shared responsibility that ensures success for all our students. By working
together, we will be helping them improve their skills and review their work. Please supervise
and guide your wards so that their work is neatly done and brought back to school.
School Hours:
Uniform and Hairstyle Guidelines:
Students must wear their uniforms neatly and adhere strictly to the school’s hairstyle guidelines. For those wishing to plait their hair, simple and neat styles are required, following the specific guidelines that will be communicated to parents, please note that, no attachment of any kind and students are not allowed to use beads of any size in making their hair to school because this can be hazardous.
Academic Expectations:
Our focus this year is on achieving academic excellence and fostering personal development. We encourage students to take their studies seriously and participate actively in all school activities. Parents are urged to monitor their child’s academic progress and maintain regular communication with the school.
Extracurricular Activities:
FIB School offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, music, and clubs. We encourage students to participate in these activities to develop their talents and interests beyond the classroom.
Communication:
We will continue to keep parents informed through regular newsletters, emails, website and school Whatsapp group. Please ensure that your contact details are up-to-date so you do not miss important information.
Parent-Teacher Meetings:
Parent-teacher meetings will be held each term to discuss student progress. The dates for these meetings will be communicated in advance, and we encourage all parents to attend as matter of duty.
Health and Safety:
The health and safety of our students remain a priority. No student will be allowed in school with symptoms of illness.We have implemented strict health protocols, including regular hygiene practices and health checks. Please ensure that your Ward follows these guidelines.
School Fees:
Please be reminded that school fees for the term should be at least 50 percent before resumption. For those needing a payment plan, please contact the admin.
